The Cost of Living
Yes, both Australia and Canada are first world countries with exquisite standards of living. Canada however, is a lot cheaper than Australia. Even if you’re not a “every little penny counts” type of person, saving is always welcomed. According to statistics, you could be paying 40% more for an Australian apartment than you would in Canada. Food comes in at 10% less and public transport 20% less. You know what they say, the best things in life are cheaper in Canada.
Education
Canada is home to some of the world’s most prestigious education institutions. Canada spends more on education than any other first world country. Your education is a top priority in Canada, which explains their ever-booming economy and strong national workforce. Studies also show that 90% of graduates find employment in less than 6 months. Another noteworthy fact is that more than 50% of Canadians have a post-secondary degree. In 2012, Canada was reported to have the highest proportion of highly educated adults. I don’t know about you but I’m pretty impressed by that.
Get active
Canadians are crazy about outdoor activities with good reason - their backyard is huge! The pretty landscapes in Canada are not just there to look at, they’re yours to play with. Kayaking and hiking are both incredibly popular in Canada as they’re rich in both mountains and rivers. Canada doesn’t believe in waiting for the hotter months, Canada takes what it has presently and makes it great and winter is no party stopper in Canada.
It’s beauty
Canada surely needs no introduction in the natural beauty department. Boasting in mountains and glaciers, lakes and forests Canada is just about picture perfect. Canada is known for its constant recognition as one of the world’s most livable countries. Our all-time favorite Canadian natural wonder is, of course, the Northern Lights with the Canadian Rockies following close by. If you love the outdoors, then Canada loves you.
You’re a lot safer here
Last but not least, your safety. Canada’s crime rates are steadily dropping and it’s been this way for the past 11 years. It’s not only a stereotype that Canadians are gentle and kind by nature, but studies have also proven this to be more than an actual fact - it’s a way of life for most Canadians. Canada is one of the World’s Top 10 Safest Countries to Visit coming in at number 8. Canada is ready whenever you are.
