About Ferreira & Koach

Ferreira and Koach is an immigration consultancy that has been in operation since the late 1960s and was first established in 1975 by Peter Ferreira and Edward Koach. According to their website, the two founders started their careers with the Ministry of Immigration and then eventually worked their way to senior positions. Both founders are registered as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) members.

Website and Services

At first glance, their website looks like it could do with a few improvements. In all fairness, there are a few pretty images here and there, but the font is a bit small. The upside to this site is that it does seem to contain lots of information about their services as an immigration consultancy. They also have a page about other interesting aspects of the immigration process and life in Canada. Ferreira and Koach also offer immigration consulting services for those looking to immigrate to Australia and they offer a free initial assessment. According to their website, Ferreira and Koach offer a range of services which include:

  • Independent Skilled Workers;
  • Entrepreneurs;
  • Investor;
  • Self-employed;
  • Refugees;
  • Assessment for certain academic qualifications;
  • Removal of Terms & Conditions;
  • Family Class Sponsorship/Positions of Trust;
  • Worker/Student Visa;
  • Appeals to the Immigration & Refugee Board;
  • In-Canada Applications;
  • Canadian Citizenship; and
  • PR card (permanent residence card) related services

Social Media

There is a link to the Facebook account of Ferreira Koach in the footer of their website.  However, this link is broken and just takes you back to the top of the website. This is a cause for concern and definitely needs to be looked into by the company.

Conclusion

At first glance, Ferreira and Koach seem to be a legitimate immigration consultancy. We are concerned that they do not display a “Terms and Conditions” page on their website. They have shown a great willingness to be transparent with their clients by mentioning that they do charge fees eventually. We would have liked to know if there are any refund policies and whether they account for cancellations. We do, however, appreciate that their service is a long-standing one and that they have more than one RCIC member on board.
