About Bertrand Deslauriers (BDIA)

Bertrand Deslauriers describes itself as an ‘independent Canadian law firm located in Montreal and Toronto’. They claim to specialize in Immigration, Business, and Technology law. Their homepage opens to a simple and professional-looking design. They bought over DALMA immigration in 2015.

Website & Services

The Website o0f BDIA is simple but effective. What they do and who they are is clearly described. They split their services into categories of Immigration, Business, and Technology. There is a visible ‘Our Team’ section on the home page of their website which names J.F Bertrand, Bruno Deslauriers, and Annabel E. Busbridge as their representatives. In terms of immigration, they provide assistance with tourist visas, study permits, work permits, and express entry to name a few. The website fails to mention if their representatives are registered RCIC consultants so we can’t confirm this. In addition, they are lacking in terms and conditions as well as a privacy policy, which is usually not a good sign.

Social Media & Online Reviews

Links to the social media platforms of BDIA is nowhere to be found on their website. This is quite worrying, as visitors to their site are unlikely to go out of their way to find the company on social media. Upon further investigation, we were unable to find them on social media. This is not a good sign and prevents us from seeing comments and reviews from real people. This leads us to wonder if they have something to hide.

Conclusion

BDIA gives the first impression of a very professional firm but when you take a closer look you will come up empty. With no privacy policy and terms and conditions, no social media and no mention of whether their consultants are accredited, it is very difficult for us to say this is a credible immigration firm.
