Applying for a Canadian study permit
Formal documentation needed to study in Canada is a Canadian study permit, which serves as a Canadian student visa for the duration of your stay. Applying for a Canadian study permit can either be done online or through a paper application, which is available from the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website. Do bear in mind that the paper applications take up to twice as long as the online application, always check the processing times well in advance.
